Listening to Earth Channel Description Snapshot

Channel Description

Discover the beauty of nature through sound. These soundscapes can be used for relaxation, education, and mindfulness practices.

Over half the world’s population is now living in urban sprawls. Due to a geographical disconnect, it is crucial that we create more meaningful experiences with nature; lest we lose our sense of connection to the natural world and ultimately our sense of responsibility towards environmental stewardship. The Listening to Earth Project utilizes sound to create moments of connection, transporting our audience from urban habitats to our natural ones—making nature more fundamental to our lives.

🔊 Biophony - sounds living organisms make (bird call, dog bark)
🔊 Geophony - naturally occurring non-biological sounds (waterfall, wind, rocks falling)
🔊 Anthrophony - sounds generated by humans (car horn, airplane engine, music)
