In 2012 Zion was born with Spina Bifida, hydrocephalus and a Chiari II malformation.
Every day 8 babies are born with Spina Bifida, making it the most common birth defect in the United States, occurring when the bones of the spine don’t form properly around the baby’s spinal cord while it’s in its mom’s womb. Most people born with Spina bifida have the mildest form and no symptoms. Zion has the most severe form called myelomeningocele, where the opening in his spine caused nerves to be exposed and the damage to those nerves has resulted in paralysis of his lower limbs.
Zion has grown to love playing video games so we are sharing his beautiful personality and love and joy of gaming and playing with the world.
