Channel Description
GVK EMRI (Emergency Management and Research Institute) is a pioneer in Emergency Management Services in India. GVK EMRI in association with Government of Gujarat introduced the 24 X 7, 181 Abhayam Women Helpline commissioned in the state, jointly by Women and Child Development Department of Gujarat Government, Home Department and GVK EMRI on 4th February 2014. In the first phase, this service was commenced in Ahmedabad City, Surat City and Gandhinagar District. After its success, it was implemented throughout the State on 8th March 2015.
181 Abhayam Women Helpline is the initiative taken by the Gujarat Government to stop violence and misconduct against women. The Abhayam helpline rescues female victims of domestic violence, provides immediate help and advice and gives them guidance and proper counseling.
