I am the author of Sunday Times bestseller and BBC Radio 4 Book of the Week 'Mudlarking: Lost and Found on the River Thames' (Bloomsbury), which is published in the USA and Canada as 'Mudlark: In Search of London's Past Along the River Thames' (Liveright). My second book 'A Field Guide to Larking: Beachcombing, Mudlarking, Fieldwalking and More' was published by Bloomsbury in 2021. I am a licensed Thames mudlark, which means I spend as much time as I can getting looking for lost and abandoned objects in the mud of the river Thames and writing about them.
