Four Sons OFF GRID Homestead

We bought a 140 acre forest back in 2019 and this is our journey as a family of 6 to turn our forest into our future off grid homestead. Having four boys we aptly named our farm after them. Welcome to Four Sons Off Grid Homestead. Here we will be sharing all the things but mostly what it's gonna take for us to build our off grid homestead from scratch. We have summered here for two summers raising pigs and putting up a large garden but in 2021 we sold it all and moved to the forest full time. Our family is currently living in a 160 square foot tiny cabin while we wait to build our future home. This year besides home building we are planning on expanding the garden, building ponds for birds, water capture and management, raising pigs again as well as adding rabbits, laying hens, ducks and meat birds to our farm. Our goals our lofty but we got a lot of mouths to feed. So follow along as we build and grow in Northwestern Ontario.
