The Wild Animal Sanctuary Channel Description Snapshot

Channel Description

Established in 1980, The Wild Animal Sanctuary is a state and federally licensed zoological facility and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We currently operate three accredited facilities within the United States and travel the world to rescue captive exotic and endangered large carnivores that have been abused, abandoned, exploited or illegally kept. Once the rescued animals arrive at our state of the art facility, they are rehabilitated and provided with veterinary care. Thereafter, we provide our rescued animals with a forever home and place them in large natural habitats. We operate two facilities within Colorado, and one in Texas, totaling more than 34,000-acres, and currently care for more than 950 Lions, Tigers, Bears, Wolves and other rescued animals! We are the largest and oldest network of sanctuary facilities in the World.
