Channel Description

Forgotten videos from outdated formats, now available to new audiences!

About The ReDiscovered Future:
This channel acts as the public "silver screen" of an initiative that aims to rescue video and audio recordings from older, volatile formats, store them on more reliable media, and share them with the world. We are always on the lookout for new media sources: if you or someone you know might have some old media you would like to contribute to the channel, email us at rediscoveredfuture@gmail.com!

What's with our name?
Our name's acronym pays homage to RDF Productions, the company which produced the Sorkin-penned Steve Jobs movie. Our first video, the October 21, 1988 NeXT Computer Introduction, was recovered during the pre-production of this film. Our name's acronym also recalls Steve Jobs’s notorious “Reality Distortion Field”.
