Channel Description

Qazi Fazli Azeem is a designer and the South Asian Self Advocate for the Autism Spectrum. He was an Assistant Professor of Design at the Media Science Department (SZABIST University Karachi) and founded the School of Design at the (now defunct) Karachi Institute of Technology and Entrepreneurship. He was also a fulltime faculty member at the Department of Communication Design at the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture in Karachi, Pakistan. He graduated with an MFA in Design from the Dynamic Media Institute at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) through the Fulbright Scholarship. Fazli Azeem spoke at the UN in New York on 2nd April 2013 - World Autism Awareness Day and presented at Autism Conferences in the US, UK, Pakistan, Bangladesh, India & Qatar. His essays on the Autism spectrum disorders were published in the Feb 2014 book "Been There. Done That.
