Philip "Skip" Kemp operates Kemp Fisheries LLC Aquaculture and Aquatic Consulting. Specialties are shellfish hatcheries and grow-out, microalgae culture, and training operators for technical aquaculture problem solving and the new fish culture method IPRS: In-Pond Raceway System.
Recent work with the United States Soybean Export Council USSEC to educate clients about the IPRS or In-Pond Raceway System in Egypt, Turkey, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. It is an Intensified Pond Aquaculture. The IPRS uses innovative combination of existing technology and aquaculture principles to triple fish production yields over that of conventional open ponds.
Mr. Kemp served 18 years with NC State University as Mariculture and Seafood Marketing Specialist with NC Sea Grant program. He served 10 years as program coordinator and professor of the Aquaculture Technology program at Carteret Community College in Morehead City, NC.
Skip is blissfully married to Grace Hahn Kemp since 1981.
