Chandra Bhanu Satpathy began writing his magnum opus captioned Shri Guru Bhagwat from the 30th of November 2001, which happened to be the auspicious day of Kartik Poornima in India. Shri Guru Bhagwat is not limited to any Guru, religion, creed, or sect in particular. Its fundamental tenets are universal in nature that can be followed by anyone who believes in and practices the Guru-Shishya relationship. Originally written in Odia language, four volumes were subsequently completed, the first of which was published in the year 2010 & released on 14th Oct 2010 at Bhubaneswar. The other 7 volumes were published in between 2010-2020. The eight volumes written so far contain about 34,000 lines with each line containing nine letters (Nabakshyari Chhanda). It is woven in a poetic verse that runs to about 17K couplets & 8,500 quadruplets. This magnum opus is translated into 15 Indian languages and English.
