We are a registered non-profit organization & accredited branch of the Ramakrishna Order of India, dedicated to spreading the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna(1836-1886) and his foremost disciple Swami Vivekananda(1863-1902). They presented the ancient teachings of Hinduism and made them relevant to us today.
Viveka Press is our publishing arm.
ABOUT VEDANTA
Vedanta is the philosophy of the Vedas, the most ancient scriptures of India. It teaches that our real nature is divine. God, the underlying reality, exists in all beings. Religion is therefore a search for self-knowledge, a search for God within ourselves. It also teaches the harmony of religions and does not believe in conversion. Therefore, one can hold onto one's own faith and yet be a student of Vedanta.
