Zehen kashmir

Zehenkashmir is a social media campaign run via this channel, Instagram, and Facebook by a Kashmiri-born Psychiatrist, ,Dr. Najmun Riyaz, who currently resides and practices in New Jersey, USA. She founded #Zehenkashmir, which is an educational program under her practice Zehen Global LLC, whose mission is to break the stigma on Mental illness in Kashmir, India. Her mission is to educate the people of kashmir and raise awareness of how our brain is an organ like any other organ, how our mind works, how psychiatric illnesses are true medical conditions, and not any ' Devil, evil eye, or witchcraft". How like any other part of our body, our mind too needs to be taken care of. She teaches people in simple-to-understand Kashmiri, (her mother tongue) about various mental health conditions, symptoms, and how treatment is a must to live a happy and productive life. She encourages people to seek help through their local mental health professionals.
