Drawing on Tom Dorrance's timeless wisdom, John Saint Ryan advocates for a shift in horsemanship—working with horses from the inside out. By prioritizing trust-building at every stage, John fosters a bond between horse and rider that is both ethical and deeply fulfilling.
John actively sought out Tom Dorrance and soon became not just a student but a close friend. Together, they created several of Tom’s training videos. John also had the honor of narrating Tom's classic book, 'True Unity'.
Today, John is an Equine Behavior Consultant and a Practitioner Member of the International Society for Equitation Science. He was also the USA National Champion in Doma Vaquera in 2004, 2005, and 2006.
Based in Southern California, John now teaches horsemanship, using Tom's insights through the lens of Equitation Science. He travels widely, offering lectures and clinics that promote respectful and effective training techniques.
