Channel Description
Tru South popularly called the Rap Evangelist or The Activist is a Christian Rapper, Singer Song-Writer, Philanthropist and Entrepreneur. He is known for his unique style of music which encapsulates the consciousness of a Christian. Through his brand, he has positioned himself as a symbol of Gospel Revolution to many young people in Africa and beyond. In his home country Nigeria, Tru South is known for reaching out to people in the slums and prisons across Africa.
In 2011 Tru South dedicated a song to the victims of Tsunami in Japan and the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. This song titled “Pathway to Hope” co-written by Dr Rick Hendrix (USA) where he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from The serving US President
His first album, Great Anointing was released in 2015, which restarted his music compilations as a Christian rapper. His sophomore album, High Way and Hedges was released in 2019 with several hit songs influencing young people in Nigeria.
