Do It Yourselfer Home and Garden Guy

Hi, my name is Tom and I live on a about a half-acre lot in the greater Los Angeles area of very sunny Southern California. While living in this location for over 22 years, I have become a builder and avid gardener. We originally bought in this location because the large lot of land and small home were inexpensive. With my knowledge of tools and how to build, I became an owner-builder. I designed and permitted my home addition through The Department of Building and Safety. With the help of some good friends, I added on to our small home, making it more comfortable for us. With such a large yard, I have learned respect and passion for gardening and its power of beautification, enduring the challenges and many rewards. My landscape has always been transformed, either for my dogs and us or what Mother Nature throws at us in times of drought.
