David Harvey is a renowned antique dealer and his speciality is English Antique Furniture from about 1680 through to around 1830. This period covers the reigns of many famous kings and queens including Charles II, James II, William & Mary, Queen Anne, right up to George IV as well as famous furniture makers including Chippendale and Gillows.
This channel explores our rich history both in furniture and art as well as looks at how these beautifully preserved pieces were made, cared for, and what their purpose would have been during the centuries. Along the way, we will look at some of the research that goes into finding out as much as possible about the pieces as well as looking at styles, woods, fabrics and so forth.
