Channel Description
Welcome aboard! Let's transport ourselves back in time. When you took a fabulous ocean liner to go to Europe or America, or where have you! My goal with this channel is to bring back the elegant and exciting allure that is an ocean voyage through video voyages where we explore the ship and learn some history along the way.
This channel is also dedicated to exploring and advocating for the preservation of the historic R.M.S. Queen Mary in Long Beach, California; uncovering the issues behind her current condition and seeking creative ways to bring her back.
Hello, my name is Matthew! I have been a long term big ship enthusiast since childhood. I wrote several articles for the West Coast chapter of the Steamship Historical Society of America (SSHSA) in the early 2000s. I have been privileged to board ships like QE2, QM2, etc., for journalistic endeavors. I also contributed to the 2010 S.S. United States calendar where my drawing was featured in the month of April.
