Opera Rotas

Opera Rotas begins as an ethnographic exploration of folk and peasant traditions, now approached with greater awareness and intent. Hence, the tribute to a powerful symbol: the Sator Square.

We focus on its final terms – Opera and Rotas – evoking rotation, cyclical time, karmic loops, and the Magnum Opus of the alchemists: a search for meaning in a universe of ambiguity, multiple readings, and invisible patterns.

As Han suggests, we live in a society without rituals. Our fixation on progress and the commodification of nature and spirituality leaves us disoriented. Looking back becomes necessary – not linearly, but in the circular way ancient cultures understood Kronos.

In the time defined by Rotas, the only face we meet is our own.
Opera Rotas becomes a mirror – reflecting different voices and stories – where the other is, ultimately, the “us” we have yet to discover.
