The two Cambridge Mathematics departments cover a huge range of areas across pure and applied mathematics, mathematical statistics and theoretical physics. Our teaching and research ranges from number theory and geometry to cosmology and quantum physics, exploring fundamental and exciting questions. Meanwhile the social contribution of research in the Cambridge Mathematics Faculty focuses on some of the most urgent global challenges we face today, from climate change to healthcare.
