Channel Description
Welcome to the official educational & entertainment channel for the USS KIDD Veterans Museum, located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA.
Built in 1942-43, USS KIDD (DD-661) is a Fletcher-class destroyer that served the U.S. Navy during World War II, the Korean War, and the Cold War before retiring in 1964. Today, she is the centerpiece of a museum that teaches about the service and sacrifices of our state's veterans. A multi-curricular educator, KIDD will teach you about history, geography, physics, chemistry, art, music, sociology, linguistics, writing, math, and more! She also moonlights now and again as an "actress" in television, film, and video games.
The USS KIDD Veterans Museum is a 501 c3 non-profit organization and receives no regularly-budgeted state or federal funding.
