The National Security Space Institute (NSSI) is the Department of War's premier source for space professional continuing education, complementing existing space education programs in Space Delta 13: Delta 13 Detachment 1 (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Delta 13 Detachment 3 (Johns Hopkins University), Vosler Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) Professional Military Education Academy, and the Captain's Leadership Course. NSSI provides worldwide responsive and relevant space professional continuing education to the Department of War, U.S. government entities, and international partners.
NSSI coordinates closely with an array of education partners to fulfill its unique mission of providing in-residence, distance learning, blended, and mobile professional continuing education to nearly 5,600 DoW students, U.S. government entities, and international partners annually.
