Ed Fillmer Video Journalist Channel Description Snapshot

Channel Description

For some fifty years, I've produced video stories and documentaries about the people of the Ozarks.
I call it 'Ozark Life'.
Starting in 1974, I worked for KY3 News in Springfield, MO and created some 2,000 'Ozark Life' stories.
I decided to do stories about people who are well known and appreciated in their communities but who are not normally in the news. People like a school bus driver who'd driven the same route fifty years. I was with him on his last day before retirement.
I've done stories about Ozark people who went on extraordinary adventures. For example, folks who engage in challenges like driving a historic stagecoach across the West, and college students who early on built and raced solar powered cars across the USA and the Australian Outback. I've traveled with West Plains, MO high school choirs who performed in China, Hungary, Italy and England. They came back with an expanded appreciation of American life.
Stay tuned, more 'Ozark Life' is coming!
