Child of Mecha Channel Description Snapshot
Channel Description
My name is Tim, and I started building Gunpla in 2000 when I, like a lot of people in the US around that time, started watching Gunam Wing that was airing on the Toonami block on Cartoon Network.
In 2002 I started my own website Child of Mecha. It quickly grew into North America's largest community of Gunpla modelers and attracted many amazing artists from around the world to participate. Many GBWC finalists started their modelling journey on our forums.
In 2007 I had to shut down my site since I was starting a family, but restarted in 2013. Since then I've worked tirelessly on improving my skill set while trying to pass along my knowledge to the next generation of artists. I've been a part of online build shows and even co-host a show called Gunpla Talk.
In 2016 I was lucky enough to win the North American portion of GBWC and went on to Japan to participate in the GBWC finals where I placed 7th in the world. In 2017 I placed 2nd in the United States as well.
