Welcome to Lidl US. Kudos for clicking here to learn more about the greatest grocery store in the biz. (Are we biased? Not even a little bit.) We offer astounding, high-quality groceries at prices so low you’ll do a double take when you see your receipt. Our weekly deals, ever-growing variety of products, rotating selection of non-food items (think frying pans, sweaters, leaf blowers and so many other great finds), fun promotions and super sweepstakes will have you coming back for more.
Just like every superhero known to man, we too have our own origin story. In 1973, the first Lidl store opened in Ludwigshafen, Germany with only three employees and around 500 products (can you imagine?). With a little hard work (okay fine, a lot of hard work), we grew and grew and began opening stores outside of Germany. Today, we have over 11,200 stores around the world. In 2017, we arrived in the US and haven’t looked back since—100+ stores and counting!
