Philosophers Discussing Art Channel Description Snapshot

Channel Description

On this channel, I interview other philosophers about their work in aesthetics and the philosophy of art, diving into their views in a fun and engaging way. We tackle the arts in relation to ethics, politics, metaphysics, epistemology, mind, & value theory.

College instructors can use the videos in their classes as a way to deepen their students’ insights into a wide variety of topics pertaining to music, painting, literature, film, architecture, monuments, ruins, food, perfume, street art, & more. The subtitles have been edited, so they're compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

These videos are for anyone who's ever wondered whether Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" is country or hip hop; whether Black Sabbath is the same band without Ozzy Osbourne; whether it's ok to enjoy the work of immoral artists; why some people love bad movies; what's so interesting about Taylor Swift re-recording her back catalog; & much more!
