Channel Description
As a family of general aviation pilots, we share here some of our adventures, combining our passions for the outdoors and aviation. Our 1986 Cessna A185F Skywagon is highly modified, sometimes standing tall on 29" Bush wheels, often floating on WipAire 3450 amphibious floats. With WingX extensions, Sportsman STOL cuffs and the Tornado Alley Turbo Normalizer we enjoy Lake Tahoe, the Sierra Nevada, the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia. Our 2021 Lockwood AirCam with two 125 hp Edge Performance EP914Ti engines on Bush wheels allows us to go safely low and slow into remote areas. In 2022 we added a 1981 Gulfstream Jetprop 1000 (Twin Commander 695A) for long distance travel, a phenomenal machine with great range, 285 kts cruise at up to FL 350 while sipping Jet A. For shorter hops, we fly a 1985 Cessna P210R. In 2025 a Schempp-Hirth Arcus M 2.0 joined our fleet, fulfilling our true passion of soaring in the mountains, which started our aviation journey some 45 years ago in the Alps.
