The World Bioeconomy Association (WBA) is a non-profit NGO founded in December 2023 in Washington, DC, serving as a global platform for advancing a sustainable and circular bioeconomy. It unites stakeholders from business, government, academia, NGOs, and civil society to drive inclusive growth. WBA’s mission is anchored in three visions: Bioresource (efficient use of biomass from agriculture, forestry, and marine sectors), Biotechnology (scaling bio-based innovation and biomanufacturing), and Bioecology (promoting biodiversity, soil health, and regenerative practices).
