Channel Description

Experienced music, media and marketing pro

Richard Grossman’s career path has taken him from the theatrical stage to the concert stage; from the broadcasting studio to the recording studio; and from the front of the post-secondary classroom to behind the administrator’s desk.

As a producer/engineer, sound designer, songwriter and composer, his work has been heard on major label recordings, radio and TV, live theatre and corporate boardrooms.

In the early ‘80s, Richard established Mainstage Promotions as one of the leading artist management and college booking agencies in the US. His artist roster included comedian Louie Anderson. He also owned and operated Synctronix Recording and Production Studios during the “Purple Rain” boom, helping launch the careers of MCA recording artist Giorge Pettus, among others. In 1985, Richard co-founded the indie record label and publishing company Crocus Hill Music, which he and his wife, singer/songwriter Madeleine Hart, still operate today.
