AdaptiveGo Channel Description Snapshot
Channel Description
AdaptiveGo shares ideas and knowledge about how people (or patients) adapt to chronic pain or disability caused by injury or chronic illness so that we can keep active and moving. AdaptiveGo encourages the use of adaptive mindsets and equipment to speed recovery and/or to enable us to live free, stretch our limits and have new adventures. I have axial (non-radiographic), peripheral, and enteropathic spondylitis. I was first diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis nine years ago.
I am a patient - not a health professional. I know a little about training as I was as a committed road cyclist and from supporting my husband when he represented NZ at the Commonwealth Games. I have a Masters in Organisational Psychology. I live every day in pain, with medication, and with disability. Our lived experiences are unique but sharing helps each other. Please use your judgement about whether you need to check my ideas with a health professional. It is always a good idea to do your own research.
