Founded in 2001, the IDSA Foundation is the nation’s leading non-profit organization committed to relieving the burdens of infectious diseases.
Worldwide, infectious diseases kill 17 million children and adults every year.
We are all vulnerable to infectious diseases from drug-resistant superbugs, to the next influenza pandemic. At the IDSA Foundation, we believe change starts with research, education and a strong, well-equipped ID workforce. That’s why we have taken major steps to reduce the impact infectious diseases have had on humanity by empowering the next generation of ID leaders, investing in research and advocating for patient care.
The Foundation is supported by individual donors, corporate supporters, corporate and institutional grants, as well the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
Our members and donors are the bedrock of this crucial category of medicine.
