TheWoolChannel Channel Description Snapshot
Channel Description
Welcome! I’m Clara Parkes, author of Vanishing Fleece: Adventures in American Wool. The Wool Channel is my member-supported publication and community dedicated to giving wool a voice in the world.
I’ve been a resident yarn expert on PBS, I’ve explained wool on NPR, and my book Knitlandia: A Knitter Sees the World spent a month on The New York Times bestseller list in travel, much to the consternation of Bill Bryson.
The fibers we wear have a huge impact not only on our bodies but also our soil, waterways, farmland, and communities. It's time to step away from the plastic and back toward natural fibers—especially wool.
If you enjoy these videos and want to support this work, head over to The Wool Channel and join the Foundation Flock.
