American expat to České Budějovice, Czechia - sharing my experiences in this wonderful country! I'm from Michigan and have been living here with my Czech husband since 2017. I'm slowly but surely learning the Czech language online but it doesn't come easy for me.
I make videos for those interested in this beautiful country or for Czechs who want to see an American perspective or see an American stumble with the difficult Czech language.
My husband, Martin met in the USA in 2000. He defected communism at age 25 in January of 1989 and lived in America for 30 years. Although my videos are not religious, we are both Christian and the main reason we moved to Czechia is to share the gospel of Christ with the beautiful people of my husband's homeland.
My passion is people and places. I was a social worker in the USA for 20 years working mostly in Children's Protective Services. I love people, traveling and sharing the beauty of culture with others.
