Fishing, hunting and living the perfect life in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand with Dave Barrett.
Dave was born and raised in New Jersey, U.S.A. before immigrating to Nova Scotia, Canada as a teenager. His Dad was a huge influence on what he does today. He grew up hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening and gathering. He did his post graduate work in New Brunswick while chasing Atlantic Salmon and everything else with fins, not to mention all of the hunting. Then he moved to Manitoba and fished and hunted in his free time. In 2001 he moved to New Zealand for a research scientist job in forestry biotech. Today he shares his love of the outdoors with anyone who wants to watch.
Dave has a website called feathergirl.co.nz that sells feathers, trout flies and his trout fishing guiding services. There are fishing articles and a culling blog available to read there. Check it out and feel free to leave feedback.
