NEON Science Channel Description Snapshot
Channel Description
The NEONScience channel is devoted to explaining the methods and the science behind measuring ecology. We cover topics ranging from simple measurements of plants and animals to complex measurements of ecosystem processes like photosynthesis and movement of carbon across an ecosystem. In addition, we provide videos to better explain the methods used by the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON), which is funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) and operated by Battelle.
NEON will provide free and open data and education resources for 30 years to support a better understanding of ecological change. For more on the NEON project visit http://neonscience.org.
Be sure to check out our Data Skills portal (http://neonscience.org/neondataskills) for tutorials on working with data in free and open tools like R, Python, QGIS and more!
